Course Description:
Push yourself as hard as you want - Choice of a 5.5km (1lap) or 11km (2 Laps) and lap has 50+ obstacles and the craic with other ls on the course is sure to leave you smiling for days afterwards.
Runamuck Challenge obstacles include man made and natural obstacles. These will include various bale “jumps”, climbs and crawls under and over nets, super slides including into Cooolcarrigan lake, pontoon bridges, tires, various ditch and rope hauls and other water and land challenges!
Our obstacles are designed to be “doable” by almost everyone but if you are not comfortable to do any obstacle then you will not be obliged to do so.
Aid Stations:
The is an insurance cover in place for this event to cover accidents or damage to 3rd parties only. Paramedics will be on site.
Prizes:
Prizes (Fastest 3 male and female for 1 and 2 laps plus fastest teams for 1 and 2 laps) will be awarded based on the overall results and will take into account all waves
The Winning Team is the team with the first 3 people finished i.e. Position of team’s 3rd placed runner determines the winner.
Prizes will be our traditional handcrafted tankards from Crannmor Pottery and Runamuck race entry vouchers.
Spectators:
The event is set-up to cater to participant’s needs not spectators but friends-Max 1 per participant.
Parking:
Parking for all cars is in farm fields and condition of fields will be very dependent on the weather in advance of the event
Please car-pool and use front wheel drive (Or 4WD) vehicles to make parking easier for all concerned.
Bus parking is on a hard-standing area, Follow signs and marshal directions to Bus Parking Area
No cars may be parked on the public roadside – No Exceptions.
Post Party:
Last Lap Cafe will be serving hot drinks and various refreshments including tasty 1/4 pounders at reasonable cost at the venue.
Other:
Proceeds from the Challenge go to Saplings Charity.
There will be a €500 charity donation to the largest team in each Runamuck event and a €1,000 charity donation to any team who sets a new team size record! The current record is 166 Saplings Charity Team members in 2018.
Team:
Minimum team size is 3 members with no maximum. The bigger the team, the greater the discount.
Kids Race:
Minimum age to enter is 16 on day of race with no exceptions.
