Course Description:
2020 has three levels:
Open - Same course as Pro but just for a new challenge without the pressure of competition
Pro - For those who are competing for time and prizes
Ultimate - For those with exceptionally trained K9 and are up for a challenge.
Simply complete all obstacles and the 2+ mile run with the fastest time being the winner. Handlers must consider their dogs training and physical ability and complete the course safely. All dogs must remain on-leash during the run.
Aid Stations:
No formal aid station, but a wilderness first aid medic and a pet first aid medic will be on site. Ambulance service in town and local hospital 10 minutes by ambulance. Pet Emergency Hospital 45 minutes away.
Awards:
Awards for top three times in Pro and Ultimate levels
Spectators:
Spectators free, limited viewing area as the majority of the course is in the woods. They are able to go to obstacle stations prior to start of race
Parking:
Parking is limited due to remote location. Additional parking within 1/3 mile walk of property entrance. Carpooling is recommended if possible
Post Party:
Light lunch upon completion.
Other:
Location is an off the grid location with limited facilities.
We teach dogs of all ages, breeds and sizes in many K9 sports activities. Goal is to donate a portion of the proceeds to Massachusetts Vest A Dog.
No refunds, but ticket can be used for future event.
Team:
Teams are possible in the Open and Junior category.
