The IMPI Challenge is an adrenaline-charged experience, no matter what your level of capability or fitness is. It’s an opportunity to play like a kid and challenge yourself, while having fun.
The IMPI Challenge is so popular because anyone can participate. The entry categories cater for a variety of athletes, from elite sportspersons, competent and beginner runners and families looking for a fun experience.

Course Description:

Varied course of hills, flats, river beds etc.
Elite complete all 28 obstacles: tough course for trained athletes only.
Challengers complete 18 obstacles
Dash complete 9 obstacles
Mini have their own 1km course
Obstacles include 2m wall climbs, tyre pull, rope traverse, cinder brink carrying, 4m super slide, pipe crawls, various climbing structures

Aid Stations:

Advanced life support medics and paramedics on site
Water points every 3km
water and Coke available
Coke and water at the finish line

Awards:

The Elite category is the only category with prize money. The prize purse is R10 000 each for the first male and first female in.

Prizes:

Best Dressed costumes for winning team
Find and claim various items on the course (burgers and drinks vouchers)

Spectators:

Spectators are free
There will be a marked spectator route for them with viewpoints. You can all enjoy the festival area together after the Challenge.

Parking:

Parking is available and free

Post Party:

Festival area to enjoy after your race: Hunters eXtreme sponsor; Spur Steak Ranches; DJ West and also, pancakes, ice cream, pizza, donuts.
The sense of achievement and telling of stories in the tents is amazing

Other:

Enter individually or in teams; your friends may need to help you with some obstacles.
Elite are expected to complete all obstacles on their own.
An entry category for any level of fitness, even a kids only course
Impi is timed using LiveTime timing chips
There are swimming obstacles
Hot showers for after, bag drop for your stuff
There is food and drinks available so stay the day

Team:

Teams are welcomed and encouraged.
No special scoring, but you can track your time against your team mates and other teams.
