Course Description:
Includes 25+ obstacles including inverted walls, rope swings, balance beams, cargo net climbs, vertical wall traverse, and much more.
The Vanguard Race 5K course is for ages 14+, and the Vanguard Kids Fun Run is for ages 8 and up. 25+ obstacles include mud, rope climbs, swings, army crawls, sandbag carries, walls to traverse and climb over, monkey bars and much more! All participants receive a custom finisher’s award, custom event shirt, and great post-run festival. Elites will also be competing for cash awards. All fitness levels are welcome.

Water Stations along the course and fruit and water stations at the finish line

Spectators:
Spectators are free and encouraged to attend. Spectators also get in post event party.

There will be a local band and DJ keeping the festival jumping. Several food and drink (beer!) vendors will be there, as well as some race related product vendors.
Other:
There is no swimming at the Hammond event. The minimum age for the 5k is 14, and younger kids have a special kids course. Official timing is provided for elite and 5k open runners (just not the Experience and kids waves). There are real bathrooms at the gym, and additional porta potties on site. There is no gear check, and no showers are planned at this time.
Team:
Participants can join or create a team or race as an individual. The biggest team receives a cool prize!
