Course Description:
The MAR takes place on semi-flat land on the banks and in the New River in Virginia’s Mountain Playground. With 20 obstacles ranging from beams, to rope swings, and the mud pit, contestants are engaged in a manic 5K till the end. The website has an interactive map that shows obstacle names and will be updated with pictures to strike fear into prospective challengers. The youth mud pit, with parent supervision, will be fun, messy, and gritty for the little ones as well
Muddy ACCE Race is a 5K, 20 obstacle mud obstacle course race designed to drag you out of your comfort zone by testing your physical strength, stamina, and mental grit. It’s not about how fast you can cross the finish line, but if you can handle the mayhem. A challenge that emphasizes teamwork, camaraderie, and accomplishing something.
Aid Stations:
Paramedics and emergency personnel will be on hand. Water and showers available as well.
Spectators:
Not interested in running? Spectators are free but will be kept to viewing areas for their safety as well as course participants. There will also be a vendor village to explore for participants and spectators.

Free, ample parking space

All proceeds will be given to the ACCE (Access to Community College Education) Program.
The minimum age to race in our Kids Run is 6 years old
Team:
Teams of 5 and over $75 each- Sign up as a ""Team"" and receive a discount of $25 per person. Must have 5 or more to be a team. Each member must fill out his or her name and sign the waiver at check in. Each person on your team receives a t-shirt and towel.
