Course Description:
You’ll take on natural and man-made obstacles like treacherous tight ropes, downed trees, and arduous mud-caked trails as you make your way to the finish line. You will get dirty, muddy, and wet; that’s what makes it fun! Participants must work together to overcome a number of obstacles along the way, at least 10 within the 5k trail. Try not to crumble as you climb a giant tire wall, crawl through muddy pits, take an arctic dip, and leap over fire!
You may be tough, but are you tough enough to conquer the Tough Cookie Mud Run? Test the limits of your mental and physical toughness as you run, crawl, jump, climb, and giggle your way through rugged woodland and steep hills along the beautiful Ohio River. Whether you’re an elite athlete or just looking for a fun challenge with friends, Tough Cookie Mud Run is for you!
Aid Stations:
There will be hydration stations throughout the course with water and/or an energy beverage.
Awards:
Trophy for top three teams in each age bracket: Ages 5-8 – Hikers, Ages 9-12 – Explorers, Ages 13-15 – Challengers, Ages 16-18 – Adventurers
Spectators:
family and friends are welcome to come cheer you and your team on. Camp Fun Day wristbands ($10 each) will be available for purchase for individuals who are not registered race participants but would like to participate in the camp activities from 1:00-4:00p.m. Strollers are permitted, please be advised most of camp is gravel trails. Pets are not permitted.
Parking:
There will be on-site parking available at camp and potentially satellite parking with shuttle service available.
Post Party:
After the race you can stay at camp for open activities, from 1-4. Archery, swimming, the rock wall, as well as sports and games like gaga and disc golf. Enjoy a picnic lunch (self-provided), while checking out our partner pavilion and music from our DJ.
