Run and Gun Race The Run & Gun Challenge is an entirely new obstacle course race series, where for the first time ever participants are faced with unique target shooting challenges.
The 5 kilometer (3.1 mile) course is divided into two legs with each culminating in a shooting challenge where participants will use firearms geared with the same non-lethal training ammunition used by military and police worldwide.
However, the focus of the race is not about getting the highest score or fastest time, it’s all about fun, camaraderie, and teamwork.

Course Description:

A biathlon for the badass... and a thrilling new way to experience obstacle course racing!
Race participants are issued an M4 Professional Training Rifle, a military simulation airsoft rifle built to mimic the real thing in weight, handling, and firing characteristics, while providing a safe experience for shooters of all skill levels (or no skill at all). Athletes are familiarized their weapon, taught basic safety, movement and firing techniques, and then set loose into an intense woodland environment.
As racers move through the 5 kilometer course they will be confronted with exciting firing problems, reactive targets, challenging military style obstacles, and rugged terrain. Athletes will be timed and their scores based on both speed and accuracy.

Aid Stations:

There will be Aid Stations at the halfway point and farm house.

Parking:

Parking at Utica Park.
Participants are encouraged to carpool and should expect to pay up to $10 per vehicle for parking. This money will be going to the Special Operations Warrior Foundation.

This will benefit the Special Operations Warrior Foundation
