Course Description:
Armageddon Ambush events are strenuous 5k
(3.1 mile) obstacle course mud runs designed to challenge your all
around power and endurance through mental and physical tests.
Imagine a terrain tailored to end of the
world disasters and chemical warfare simulations. The obstacle course
combines that rugged
terrain with hefty obstacles and mental Armageddon esq challenges.
Those with a sense of adventure will
define themselves and then rock out at the after party with great bands,
superb local food and plenty of beer! This is the ultimate challenge.
Get some courage.
Each Armageddon Ambush event features at least ten obstacles
constructed by an experienced crew of licensed contractors. You will
climb over walls up to 12' high, crawl through mud under barbed wire,
jump over fire, duck, dive and face many other challenges all while
running through a unique terrain.
This is a truly challenging and well-organized course that triumphs above others. You don't have to take our word for it.
Aid Stations:
Police and Paramedics will be at the event as a precaution. The Fire Department will be there pre-event to evaluate the course.
Awards:
Awards include (but not limited to): best group costume, most helpful participant, and the first three finishers of each wave.
Prizes:
Men and women sign up for division regardless of the time slot. Everyone
is grouped together for the run. Armageddon Ambush has the following
divisions
- 18-25
- 26-30
- 31-40
- 41-50
- 51-60
- 61+
Spectators:
The more the merrier. Lets support the survivors of the Ambush. Everyone is welcome to spectate and party. All ages.
Post Party:
Ya, we throw a proper post race party so you could call us a bad ass entertainment company too. Let the chaos begin. Post-race beer, bragging, food, music and more games all start thirty minutes after the first wave of participants begin.
Other:
You will be quite dirty after your wave, so you may want to change into
some fresh clothes. Many enjoy the after party wearing their mud! We
will be selling flip flops and fresh Armageddon T-Shrits just in case.
We’ll have a variety of food and beverages available for purchase throughout the day, along with Armageddon gear.
Armageddon Ambush participants range in age from 17 to 66. That's
exactly why our courses are designed for a wide range of partakers and
almost 100% of runners finish. The ambush will be demanding enough for
even the avid fitness goer, but achievable for all.
We like to look at our events as adult playgrounds with
random ambushes at any given moment. There is an Armageddon Ambush
experience that our participants can't get anywhere else.
In the end, it is about having a unique, rewarding adventure
run, and memorable experience that is as much fun as it is a challenge.
Our courses are what the participant chooses to make it.
We recommend that you arrive at least one hour before your wave time.
Remember that you will have to park, pick up your packet, attach your
bib and make your way to the starting line. Allow for traffic, detours
and other hold-ups
Racers can check their items during the race (like a coat check).
There will be a photographer to snap through the action. A link to
photos is available post event. We encourage everyone to share pics on
the Armageddon Ambush Facebook page. You never know what someone else
managed to capture!
Participants must be 18 years old or older on race day in order to participate.
Team:
No minimum or maximum team sizes however, all team members should sign up before the registration is sold out. There are limited spots for each event.
