NEW THIS YEAR!! You may compete to be the Ultimate Man/Woman Survivor. This year if you sign up for the 9:00am competitive wave, you will have the opportunity to win the Survival Sprint. There will be a Men's 1st place and a Women's 1st place. For all of the waves thereafter, 9:30am-2:00pm, there will be no timing system. There is no clock putting a constraint on you. There is a job before you that must be completed. You won’t be timed for the pace you set. You will be judged on the fact that you finished the work. If you are interested in keeping up with your time, it is advised that you wear a watch with a timer.
Bring the kids!! This year there will also be a NEW mini Survival Sprint kid's course. If you're under 14 and you want a taste of what it’s like to participate in the Survival Sprint, we have just the course for you. Participants will navigate their way through a hay jumping, water soaking-good time. Your climbing, crawling, and digging skills will.be.tested.This course is not timed and is a self-paced, self-start exhibit. You may not be old enough to participate in the official Survival Sprint, but you can certainly try your hand at the Mini.
There may be areas of the course where swimming is required. There is no guarantee that you will need to swim, however, depending on the circumstances participants may need to swim. BEWARE OF DEEP WATER!! If you cannot swim, DO NOT ENTER WATER that could be over your head. Go around this obstacle!!
All runners should assess each obstacle they approach and determine if their fitness level will enable them to complete it without injuring themselves or others. Go around any obstacle that you feel you can’t/don’t want to complete. Keep in mind, if you are unable to complete any parts of the course, you will have the option to complete another task as a “trade-off”, i.e. push-ups, sit-ups, planks, etc. UNLESS, you are in the 9:00am competitive wave. You may still choose a “trade-off”, but in doing so, you will forfeit your right to be the Ultimate Survival Sprint winner.
There will be an area for participants to check their bags if they would like to do so at no charge.
