Course Description:
Course covers foot trails in the State Park through mud, streams, over logs and up 2 each 150 foot hills. 150 foot change in elevation. 5K run on trails throughout wooded and prairie areas. Man made obstacles and natural obstacles
Aid Stations:
Paramedics, fruit & water stations, and a hydrant for washing off.
Awards:
Awards for best male and female runner in the competitive heat!
Spectators:
Spectators free to roam the park.
Parking:
Parking available, no parking along race route or along road.
Post Party:
Plan to stay in Estherville for lunch after the race! Many businesses offer discounts or free beverages if you bring in your race mug.
Other:
Proceeds go to Friends of Fort Defiance for repairs and maintenance of one of Iowa's most historical, and most biologically diverse, state parks.
