Rise Up Challenge The Rise Up Challenge (RUC); which stands for Resistance, Integrity, Strength and Endurance, is a one of a kind event in the heart of the city, pairing obstacle course racing (OCR), trail running and a dash of orienteering to create a unique experience. RUC will play off your physical and mental strengths (and weaknesses) to help redefine your limits and push you to new heights! Each event focuses on utilizing the obstacles and roadblocks found within the city, nature and the surrounding environment to not only challenge you individually, but in some cases, require you to work together to succeed. With each option, Finisher’s will receive a Medal, Race Patch and an experience they won’t soon forget. Although they are different in distance, each RUC will provide challenge that will push your limits! At the end of the day, the question isn’t IF you will do a RUC, but HOW FAR do you want to push yourself and #RedefineYourLimits when you join us for a race.

Course Description:

The dark. It can bring about a gambit of different emotions: Fear, Peace, Chaos, Tranquility, Panic and adrenaline to list a few. Before you embark on this event, you should ask yourself; What does the dark mean to me?
BLACKOUT will take you on a trip through the heart of the city when it’s at its darkest (in the middle of the night) Enlist and you’re in for a 10+ Mile course with an unknown number of challenges that will demand skill, teamwork, endurance and strength. This won’t be your typical start and finish line type race. You will run through a series of challenges returning to basecamp after each one to take on your next challenge. Survive and you will walk away with memories that may just change your outlook on life and a keepsake to signify the change.

Aid Stations:

There will be water available throughout the course, but it is recommended you bring a water pack with you.

Spectators:

FREE – Throughout the course there is several great locations for your friends and family to follow you throughout the course and cheer you on!

Prior to the event, participants will be given a gear list of items that they will need throughout the course in order to survive the experience.
