Organizer:

Lanrick Challenge Going into its third year this is a Unique Wilderness, 12 or 6K charity, Obstacle event. Set in the grounds of Lanrick Estate, the course is challenging without being extreme. As Scotland’s newest one day obstacle event it is designed to be the ultimate test of physical strength, stamina and mental determination for corporates, athletes, individuals, families and friends. Our course was designed and tested with the help of Royal Marines from 45 Commando based in Arbroath.

Course Description:

With support from the Royal Marines from 45 Commando, an exhilarating 6k and 12k course has built on Lanrick Estate offering an exciting yet punishing series of 48 obstacles including mud ponds, log piles, cargo nets, river crossings, tree climbs, monkey bars and a 30 meter water slide. Designed to include as much of the natural landscape as possible the undulating terrain and natural beauty of the estate makes this event different to others.

Aid Stations:

There will be paramedics, water stations, jelly babies halfway round 12K

Spectators:

Spectators free and routes are marked for viewing areas

In 2019 the Challenge is proud to support the Sandpiper Trust and Scotland's Charity Air Ambulance. Supporting these two charities means connecting with local Scottish communities and being part of an on-going commitment to saving lives and delivering emergency medical care by air and over land in Scotland. We ask that all our competitors raise a mandatory £50 sponsorship towards our two charities.
