Race Start Time:
Sign up for the start time of your choice! We launch 75 runners onto the course every two minutes, so you are guaranteed to start within a half hour of your designated hourly start time. Start times are 8am, 9am, 10am, 11am, 12pm.

What You Get / What's Included:

Course Description:
There are no mud pits, but be prepared to get wet… and even a little
dirty (don’t wear your good running shoes!)… especially if you fail to
negotiate the obstacles.
We took the challenges of a military obstacle course and combined it
with the competitive game show themes from favorites like Wipeout,
American Gladiators, Double Dare and MXC. This obstacle race will
provide a superfun course that can only be described as ridiculous!
Obstacles may include: Fury of Foam, Gorilla Bars, Eye of the Tiger, Cool Runnings, Kaleidoscope of Color, Get it Up (and over), Concrete-Stadores, ROC Climber, Tunnel Vision, Mt. Rochmore, Aqua Drag, Belly Flop Drop, Wrecking Ball, The Beast, Tight Rope Traverse, Tire Mile, The Mammoth, and Tarzan Swing.

Awards:
Race awards given for each start time:
- Top 5 finishers of an unlimited team
- All members of the top finishing 4-person team
- The top 3 males and females
Prizes:
Be a part of the ridiculousness – costume contest held 15 minutes prior to the start of each race, and awards are given for best individual costume as well as best group costume!
Parking:
$10. Just like when you attend the San Diego County Fair, there’s a separate fee for parking. We tried to get this cost included for the ROC Race but we were unable to pull it off – the parking lot is managed separately and there are various other events occurring the same day. It pains us to say, but there is a $10 cost per car to park at the Del Mar Fairgrounds. Furthermore, they only accept cash (yes….only the green stuff). WE HIGHLY ENCOURAGE CARPOOLING to reduce your per-person cost (plus it’s good for the environment!) And please remember to bring cash so the lines move fast!
Post Party:
ROC Fest after party, with Live music/DJ's and other entertainment, 1000's of ridiculous ROC participants having a great time on the infield, and great food!
Other:
Bag check begins at 7:00am. Bag check will be conveniently located in the infield with plenty of signs pointing you in the right direction.
Things may get a little wet and wild during the run, but that’s all part
of the fun! Once you’ve had enough fun, we will have a private
changing area for you to get into some clean/dry clothes.
The ROC Race is for ages 13 and up.
We issue each participant a timing chip that is attached to your shoe
lace. The chip is encoded with your name, race number and other
information and allows us to quickly and accurately determine your race
time.

Team:
Unlimited teams of 10 or more qualify for a 10% cash back rebate on race day!
How big is your….team? The unlimited team that has the most
participants sign up under the team name will receive 20% rebate from
all registrations! Sometimes, size does matter!
If your original team members disband, you can still participate! Here
are your choices: Replace your missing team member(s), and have them
join your team by contacting VAVI customer service at 858-273-3485.
Switch your remaining team members to race as individuals. Come to the
customer service tent on race morning and make the change.
