Race Start Time:
5 mile is one heat starting at 9 am limit 250 runners.
5k will start at 10 am with the first heat and then heats every 20 minutes
Last heat will take off at 1 pm
200 people per heat

Course Description:
The course is challenging do to the many hills. The 5k has 11 obstacles that will challenge all who participate.
5k obstacles
Tarred and feathered- multiple mud pits followed by multiple hay walls
Gravity cavity- 35 degree pitch terrain down and up
Slip-n-slide- super downhill
Meat grinder- steep uphill
Cliffs of moor- ropes up cliff
The walls- alternating walls of 5' and 7' high
Monkey bars- over mud pit
Kick in the pants- tough terrain
Shows hank - mud tubes
Irish ninja warrior- rope swing, pontoon crossing,overhead rope
Belly dance- crawl through mud water under Barbed wire
Aid Stations:
2 aid stations paramedics on the course
Food and beverage on sale at finish area
Awards:
Finishers come away with a strong sense of accomplishment not only for what they have done but also knowing that 100% of the proceeds will be donated to charity

Spectators:
Spectators are free.
Spectators can roam easily about the course.
Everyone can participate in post race party.
Parking:
Parking is $5 and there is plenty of it.
All parking proceeds are donated to local fire and emt.
Car pooling never hurts.
Post Party:
Post race party includes 4 killer bands in a huge barn.
Spectators and participants compete in farmers carry.
Great local food and giant fire sculptures.
Other:
The race was borne from the Sandy Hook tragedy, where after attending the funeral for 7 year old Daniel Barden we felt compelled to start this event in his honor.
We give 100% of the proceeds to various charities and adventure scholarships.
13 year minimum age for 5k and 5 mile.
1/2 mile kids fun run with 10 obstacles.
Don't have to be able to swim to compete.
There is a changing area.

No official team category but teams are encouraged.
