Course Description:
Run/Walk the race as a HERO or be a flag ripping VILLAIN. HEROES (runners/walkers) receive a rental belt with three red football flags on them that can be removed in each of the three gauntlet areas filled with FLAG VILLAINS (see flag removal rules below). VILLAINS can only walk but get to have fun ripping flags off heroes for 2 hours during the 1Mile and 5K races from 4pm to 6pm.
Aid Stations:
Staff is on site to administer first aid and get you back into the race if possible.
Awards:
This is not a timed race. Heroes (Runners/Walkers) who finish with at least one flag on their football belts (3 flags) receive a Heroes Medal. If they finish with no flags they receive a Survivors Medal. If they are Villains, they have to do all 4 hours of training and flag ripping to receive a Villains Medal.
Prizes:
There will be a drawing for five $100 Dos Lagos gift cards if the participants visit at least 1/2 of the booths and fill out a black out bingo card to prove they either asked a question or listened to a demo. There are fifty $10 gift cards to the first 50 people who register for the event.
Spectators:
Spectators are free and can remain outside the coned race area.
Parking:
If you find parking in the Dos Lagos shopping center it will be free. If overflow parking is necessary and accessible in the nearby office parking lot, there may be a fee of $10 cash. Please be ready with cash just in case and carpool.
Other:
Our event gives money to several organizations to save victims of violence & sex trafficking. Also, many volunteers will be donating their time for $ to be donated to these organizations.
There is a parent/child mile race for those 11 and under. 7 and under are free. You need to be 12+ to participate in the official three gauntlet race.
Not a timed event.
No gear check/security on hand to watch vehicles.
Team:
We don't register teams but you can create your own team.
