Race Start Time:

Registration for the Green Mountain Iron Dog PRO wil begin at 8:00 AM, with the run starting at 8:30 AM. Iron Dog OPEN is our non-competitive heats, with registration beginning at 12:00 PM. The Iron Dog Junior course is also an afternoon event.

Course Description:

The Green Mountain Iron Dog is an obstacle course race, where runners complete a 1.5 mile course designed to simulate a real-world deployment for Police K9 teams. The course is filled with challenges which often include walls, swamps, hills, guard rails, water crossings, shooting (pellet guns), smoke filled houses, and more.

Aid Stations:

Please be sure to bring your own water. There is some on site, but your own water will be better.

Awards:

There will be an opening ceremony/awards at 12:00pm.

Other:

The VPCA is a 501 c 3 non-profit corporation that supports VT's Police K9 teams with additional training, equipment and other needs. We have over 40 members in all branches of law enforcement, and work with teams around New England.
