Course Description:
Solos and teams of 2 will encounter a combination of rocky trails and smooth gravel trails during both the mountain biking and foot travel sections. Over land navigation with a map is the key component to this event to get you from point to point. This course is an adventure race, where mother nature will provide her own challenges.
How it works: On the morning of the event participants will be given a race map with the checkpoints pre-plotted on the maps. A fun opening activity will determine if your team will travel on foot, boat, or mountain bike first. You must visit every checkpoint together as a team, and you have either 3 or 6 hours to get to as many of these points as possible. The most points collected, and fastest time determines the winner.
The paddling will be in either canoes for teams or single person kayaks for solo racers. You must bring your own mountain bike, and the trails are a combination of paved, dirt roads, and single track. The foot navigation section will have you running both on the trail and into the woods!
The morning of the race we will also offer a pre-race mini adventure race training session, for those new to the sport. So don't be shy, come on out and try something new! If you've raced with us before, come on back -- no two adventure race courses are the same!!
Aid Stations:
There will be a main aid station at the central transition area.
Awards:
First, second, and 3rd place medals will be awarded in each of the following categories:
Solo male and female
Single gender team of 2 or 3
Co-ed team of 2 or 3
Masters Division (combined team age of 120 years for team of 3)
Masters single gender team of 2 or 3
Masters Co-ed team of 3
Spectators:
Spectators are welcome and there will be 2 main areas for course viewing. Spectators may also obtain a race map after the event has begun and roam the course freely.
Parking:
No charge for parking
Post Party:
Post race snacks will be provided at the finish line

Adventure racing is a great change of pace, where you and Mother Nature dictate your day! Navigate with a map from point to point, using mountain bike, canoe and foot.
We provide the canoes, paddles, and life jackets. You must provide your own mountain bike.
Team:
You may race as a solo or in a team of 2-3 people. Team racing is highly encouraged!!
