Course Description:
Mud Endeavor is headed back to Castle Canyon for another awesome 5K mud obstacle race. This course location is something you have never experienced in good ol’ flat Florida.
Welcome to Castle Canyon! This premium course resides on over 100 acres of untouched valleys with unbeaten trails and breathtaking cliffs. Castle Canyon is the site of a rock mining operation that took place in the 1920′s. Rocks were needed for materials to build roads leading to St. Pete, creating a big rock quarry giving us the “Canyon” part of the name. There is an old castle that lies back in the thicket of the property which was used for rock distribution and sorting when the Mine was in service. Now just the remains are all that is left, thus the name, “Castle Canyon”. All in all, they have left us with one impressive place to host a Mud Endeavor event. This run will be full of high elevation, innovative obstacles, beautiful wooded trail runs and unbelievable scenery.
Aid Stations:
3 to 4 water stations at each venue.
Paramedics with Off-road 4x4 ambulance that allows the paramedics to traverse throughout the run.
Bottle of water, oranges and bananas.
Awards:
The top three elite runners in each age bracket get custom built awards.
The podium is also open for pictures and the infamous selfies for all runners!
Spectators:
Mud Endeavor has made it's races spectator friendly. Meaning spectators are able to view the course and walk around so they are apart of the action. The fee for spectators is only $5.00. And of course spectators are allowed to party!
Parking:
Parking fee $10.00 per vehicle.
The Parking lot is in walking distance of the run.
Post Party:
We have a awesome Dj and MC at the event, providing a good time vibe for everyone.
There will be plenty of amazing food for everyone.
Other:
Mud Endeavor support local Charities giving them a percentage of the runs income.
The event is timed for the Elite wave, it is up to the individual to keep track of there time if they are running in the non-elite wave.
We also have lifeguards brought in if there is any swims.
We will provide a gear, bag check in a safe secure area and showers for all runners to get them squeaky clean.
Team:
We always accept race teams.
We like to see the camaraderie built in gyms with large teams.
