Course Description:
This is a US Army Ranger approved obstacle course. Built on some of the most unforgiving property in the area and riddled with the most diabolical obstacles we could come up with. The Scramble is sure to test the most elite of athletes. Don't let the threat of failure scare you. Every competitor that crosses the start gate will finish. Athletes will have the option to scale certain obstacles to their fitness level. You are sure to get your fill of mud, rocks, hills, and body wrenching obstacles.
Spectators:
All spectators will be required to sign a waiver upon entry of event. There is no cost for spectators to witness the awesomeness, but donations are welcome. You may bring in chairs, towels, and blankets for seating.
Parking:
All vehicles will be parking at St Clair Co High School. Participants and spectators will be transported to race grounds by bus. **Due to residential traffic, there will be no other parking options.**
Other:
This is a non-profit event with all proceeds going to the Ian Harper Memorial Scholarship Fund. Ian was a close personal friend and graduate of St. Clair County High School. He was a State Champion wrestler and a lover of life and the outdoors. He was tragically taken from us May 13, 2007 but his legacy will forever live on. His parents, Johnnie and Rhonda Harper, established the Ian Harper Memorial Scholarship Fund in 2008, and have since awarded numerous scholarships to hardworking student-athletes in the area.
Participants must be 14+. Participants under 18 must have parental consent.
The St. Clair Scramble is a family event! Kids 13 and under can
participate (with parental consent) in the Scramble's Kid Challenge.
This is a smaller scale of the muddy fun mom and dad are going to
have! There is no cost for participants and it is first come, first
serve the day of the event.
TOUGHEST GYM CHALLENGE. Think you
have the toughest gym around? Here is your chance to prove it. Bring the
10 best athletes from your gym and run against the best 10 from gyms
throughout the area. The teams will be running before the course opens
to other competitors. All obstacles must be completed by all team
members and everyone must finish together. Winning Gym recieves a custom
SCS Toughest Gym flag to display in your facility. We only have room
for 12 gyms so make sure to register early. When it comes time to sign
up, make sure to choose the Toughest Gym. We are offering a $100
discount to all teams as appreciation for helping us get the word out.
No outside food or drink will be allowed on the St. Clair
Scramble premises. Food and drinks will be available for purchase
through vendors.
Wear anything you feel you can run, jump, climb, lift and crawl in. Athletic
shoes are recommended.Costumes and super hero capes are encouraged.
