Mud Gauntlet Expect a day that will challenge every muscle in your body! Run, crawl, sprint and splash through the Mud Gauntlet, Broome County’s first-ever hardcore outdoor obstacle course. This 5K layout winds around 40 acres of natural terrain in which you'll encounter many natural and man-made obstacles. The NEWBSANITY Mud Gauntlet is a very tough and challenging course but offers options on many of the extreme obstacles. You’ll get to choose your challenge by taking either the Risk and Reward path or the Tried and True path. This allows for the seasoned athlete and the first-timer to compete together, side-by-side.

Course Description:

The NEWBSANITY Mud Gauntlet is a very tough and challenging course but offers options on many of the extreme obstacles. This 5K layout winds around 40 acres of natural terrain in which you'll encounter many natural and man-made obstacles. You'll get to choose your difficulty level by taking either the Risk and Reward path or the Tried and True path. This allows for the seasoned athlete and the first-timer to compete together, side‑by‑side.

Aid Stations:

Paramedics on standby. Bananas, yogurt, protein bars, water available upon arrival. BBQ lunch - free for all participants

Spectators:

It's free to come and cheer on our participants, lunch available for purchase. Free children's course for our little spectators - registration required.

Parking:

Onsite parking - carpooling recommended

Other:

This event supports the Southern Tier AIDS Program (STAP). STAP serves 8 counties in upstate NY. Their mission is to compassionately and competently meet the evolving needs of their communities by serving people affected by chronic illness and to improve public health through disease prevention, care coordination and advocacy.
