Course Description:
The course is on Wild Iris Trail Loop, which is an easy woodland trail that we have modified with obstacles. There is a elevation change of around 150ft, which on Beech Mtn. we call this course FLAT. The loop has rocks, roots and a bunch of MUD! There will be 1 aid station at mile 2
Aid Stations:
There will be 2 aid stations. The first one will be at mile 2 with water and Avery County Rescue Squad.The other aid station will be at the start/ finish line with Beech Mountain volunteer EMT and Firemen.
Awards:
Only overall male and female and team of competitive category will receive their own chunk of mud as an award. The awards are unique and made from a local potter.
Spectators:
Spectators are free, but the course is difficult to view racers.
Parking:
Parking will be at Beech Mountain Club's Clubhouse at 112 Clubhouse Road, Beech Mountain, NC. There is a short walk down to fire station II, or take the shuttle that will be running constantly.
