Race Start Time:

Heats will begin every 15 minutes with the first heat beginning at 8:00AM. For those who are more competitive, there are 2 TIMED heats to choose from: 8:00 a.m. and 9:00 a.m. (limited to 50 people per timed event).

Mud Happens This muddy 3 mile or so, obstacle course is sure to be fun! No serious people allowed (okay, we will allow you, just play nice!); help your neighbor; No whining or being grumpy; No pushing, shoving, crying or biting; Leave valuables at home; Wear old clothes and shoes (they may not make it home); Bring a trash bag to put muddy clothes into take home; No babies/strollers/ dogs/fish/birds, etc; Don’t worry about finishing fast—finish with style; rest of the rules we’ll make up as we go!

Course Description:

MUD HAPPENS -- One Bad Mud Run is an approximately 3.1 mile race featuring muddy obstacles where contestants slip, slide, and slosh their way to the finish. Obstacles are man-made and natural (use of Drake's Creek, creek banks and in/out of wooded areas). Our race course is designed for ages 10 and up. Children ages 10-12 MUST be accompanied by a PAID adult participant.
A FREE kids course will also be available to children 9 and under. The course will consist of small obstacles and other activities. Parents should not leave their children unattended on the kids course and parents will be required to sign a waiver before children are permitted into the area.

Aid Stations:

Manned water stations will be placed strategically along the course. Course staff will be patroling the course along with local volunteer fire department personel and EMS services. Water will be available at the finish line for participants.

Prizes:

We will be awarding the FASTEST (Male/Female), BEST COSTUME (Male/Female/Group) and DIRTIEST (Male/Female).

Spectators:

Spectators are free HOWEVER they are NOT allowed on any portion of the course at anytime.

Parking:

FREE Parking will be in the field on the north side of Scottsville Road. Signs will be posted.
