Run The Ridge Maple Ski Ridge, 2725 Mariaville Road, Schenectady, NY, will once again be holding “Run the Ridge” to raise funds for the Albany Vet Center on July 27th, 2013. We will be starting the day at 8:45 with a Fast & Furious Run, with additional runs at 9:30, 10:15 and 11:00 an A 2K Family Run at 1:00pm. The 1st 100 people to register online will receive a FREE Run the Ridge T-Shirt. The 5K race will feature challenging obstacles including water, crawling, climbing and of course mud! The course will be designed by Military personnel & participants should arrive prepared to face a challenge. The 2K Family Races will feature physical challenges as well, but it will be toned down for younger athletes. There will be a kid’s zone so that kids and families can also enjoy the after party.

Course Description:

Run the Ridge is a 5k Mud Run designed by local military mud runners, untouched terrain from Mother nature and features built by some diabolical minds ready to test you and your mud running skills. Testing your endurance is only the beginning. Elevation, yup we have some... But for what we lack in straight up- we will more than make up for in sheer craziness in 'Features': Mud..water.. ledges..tires(obligatory).. hills..slop and all other types of things for you to go over -thru -around -and under.

Aid Stations:

Yes proper aid will be on location.

Spectators:

Having fun with friends, family and mud is pretty awesome, just as the after PARTY promises to be ... well a party. Rockin' out to music on a Saturday afternoon, cold beer and other beverages, food for body and soul (that's the beer). Yup and your not gonna find grandma's music either. This is your party... spectators welcome also!

Parking:

Plenty of parking for those attending the event.

Other:

We don't think you will be disappointed. But don't be scared! Remember this run is meant to be fun and to push you to do YOUR best. Never feel that you have to do something that you're uncomfortable with, - whether it's this run or anything else in life.
