It's billed as the 'Rumble at the Rose Bowl'. Every year for the past seven years, Dan 'Nitro' Clark (of American Gladiator fame) brings his Gladiator Rock 'N Run to Rose Bowl in Pasadena, California, and I've had the pleasure of participating for the last three. Always a fun event, Dan strives to make sure the participants always have a good time, and there's a fun, family atmosphere at the venue. This year was no exception.

Colorado is known for its 300 plus days of sunshine a year but also for weather that can change very quickly. The Breckenridge Beast started like any other mountain morning with a cool breeze and fresh air. The race director let us all know they were tracking a storm that could roll in around 9:30 and what the procedures would be if there was lightning within 6 miles of the course.
The New York City Challenge Obstacle race on August 18, 2018, was held on Randall's Island. Located just north of the well known Upper East side neighborhood in Manhattan and south of the heart of The Bronx. This event was by FAR one of the best OCR events of 2018.
Rugged Maniac Denver has become a tradition for myself and a small group of friends. After being forced off the course last year due to lightning and even having the beer tent and festival area closed we were excited to get back out there this year.
I’ll begin by saying I live in Portland, Oregon, but this “Portland” race is actually located about 40 minutes away, so there will be no location bias here. The Portland Spartan Sprint is hands down the best Spartan Race location in the nation. Facts are fact, Mud Run Guide fans!
