As November is upon the OCR community the racing season is about to wrap up. Two more championships remain with World's Toughest Mudder two weeks away and BattleFrog Championships, in early December. This past weekend there was more than treat o' treating for the obstacle racing community.

Last weekend was the second stop of the championship season with Warrior Dash World Championships in Tennessee. While most of the industry was focused on Warrior Dash, additional Spartan Races and a Savage Race were taking place in the US as well as a host of regional an local races.

The story of the weekend was the crowning of the new Spartan Race World Champion Robert Killian. While most of the obstacle racing world had their eyes on Lake Tahoe around the rest of the country a number of other races were taking place with new challenges and obstacles for competitors who couldn't make the trip to Squaw Valley.

Weekend Update: Tuesday Edition
Among the myriad of races and mud runs that took place over the weekend a few stood out from the rest. The two race series that people were talking about were Spartan Race and BattleFrog. Spartan Race hosted several races over the weekend in four different countries but it was the races in the US that got all the attention.

Happy Labor Day. A quiet weekend in obstacle racing in the United States but in Europe it was another story. Both Toughest Oslo and Spartan Race European Championships took place. Stateside Spartan Race had it's first College Classic race at Cornell University.
Last Week in OCR: The Hardest OCR Ever!
Another busy weekend in the world of OCR. Many took to social media over the weekend proclaiming that one race was possibly the hardest regular season OCR ever. That race was BattleFrog at the Mud, Guts, and Glory course over the weekend. As well high praises graced the web after the Spartan Races in both Asheville and Boston.

Weekend Recap: Mountains, Mud and Mines
Over the weekend there were many races around the country and beyond. But there were two races in particular which captured the attention of the diehard OCR fans. The Spartan Race in Washington State and the BattleFrog in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania had us all watching our computers Saturday morning.
