24 Moments From WTM 2015

By |November 17th, 2015|

The Lake Las Vegas WTM course is pretty similar to the landscape from a particular movie from my childhood - the desert of Tatooine. It's actually quite remarkable how the "resort section" of Lake Las Vegas has lush green colf courses replete with water fountains, finely manicured lawns wrapping the easments from hotel to hotel. As soon as you reach the cul-de-sac at the top of the hill and enter Tough Mudder land there's a dramatic shift in scenery

Behind the Scenes: BattleFrog Build Atlanta – Getting to Play on the Obstacles!

By |November 12th, 2015|

Most obstacle course racing (OCR) builds have one simple rule...outside the basic safety rules...and that is 'don't play on the obstacles'. By |November 10th, 2015|

Personally, I used to spend a lot of my time Indoors...but that was before obstacle course racing (OCR) came into my life. Now I spend an inordinate amount of my time Outdoors. Building courses, volunteering at races and running events. Why? Because OCR events happen Outdoors...of course!

Spartan Race TV Show – A Response to a Response…

By |November 3rd, 2015|

If you are just joining us, I wrote an article last week about why I didn’t apply for the Spartan TV show (check it out here). The next day Rose Wetzel and Evan Dollard wrote a response (here). By |October 29th, 2015|

Yeah, I know we're all just a little nuts right about now, the Spartan Race WC, Warrior Dash WC, and OCR World Championships have already passed, and World's Toughest Mudder is still more than a couple weeks out followed by BattleFrog Series' own WC in December - not to mention Black Friday, winter holidays, and New Year's

By |October 28th, 2015|

Hard to believe that the sport of obstacle course racing (OCR), as we know it today, is only seven years old in the United States.
