Post-Race Cleanup With No Hotel

By |October 4th, 2017|

If you have ever run a race, you are familiar with this problem. “If I run in the 8 am wave and it takes me two hours to finish, that gives me 30 minutes to get changed, 30 minutes for socializing and 45 minutes to get back to my hotel. Then I have 10 minutes to shower and 5 minutes to check out.”

By |September 14th, 2017|

In the first weekend of September, the best Obstacle Course Racing (OCR) athletes gathered from across America to a small town outside of San Antonio, Texas. I knew this was a no miss event so took the trip out to run in the 15k. If you didn’t make it to the first ever US OCR Championship, here is what you missed.

Gear Review: Hylete’s 6 in 1 Backpack: 40L vs. 60L

By |July 6th, 2017|

Hylete makes some of the best fitness clothing on the market, but you may not know about their awesome backpacks. I personally have been using their Icon Expandable backpack for over a year now (check out this review if you want to know more…but it appears to be discontinued off the main Hylete Website), but recently gave their brand in 6 in 1 backpacks a test run for this review.

By |June 29th, 2017|

I had the pleasure of making my way across the Pacific Ocean to the only active 24-hour Ultra-OCR event in the Southern Hemisphere, True Grit Enduro 24. The trip was part of my quest for a high ranking Ultra-OCR Grand Slam (see link for details if you would like to know more).
