A media demo is planned Thurs., Dec. 3., starting at 6 a.m.
Brady Archer, World's Toughest Mudder Race Director to take hiatus after a wildly successful WTM2015 that saw Amelia Boone repeat as women's champion, Team Synergy with Ryan Atkins (WTM 2013 & 2014 Champion), Jon Albon (2014 & 2015 OCR World Championships Winner), Matt Murphy, and Eric Batty win the Team competition, and Chad Trammel triumph as WTM Male Champion in his World's Toughest Mudder debut.
The Lake Las Vegas WTM course is pretty similar to the landscape from a particular movie from my childhood - the desert of Tatooine. It's actually quite remarkable how the "resort section" of Lake Las Vegas has lush green colf courses replete with water fountains, finely manicured lawns wrapping the easments from hotel to hotel. On October 17, 2015, the best obstacle racers in the world came together to battle it out in Oregonia, OH, USA at the premiere event in OCR. The nearly 10 mile course was littered with obstacles of all shapes and sizes, some natural and many man-made; sure to test the mettle of even the most resolute and talented athlete.
Yeah, I know we're all just a little nuts right about now, the Spartan Race WC, Warrior Dash WC, and OCR World Championships have already passed, and World's Toughest Mudder is still more than a couple weeks out followed by BattleFrog Series' own WC in December - not to mention Black Friday, winter holidays, and New Year's
In 2016, the OCR World Championships will continue it’s mission to help push the sport of obstacle racing to the next level. As the sport has grown, not only have the obstacles evolved, but the distances have as well. More and more athletes can now be considered specialists at certain distances throughout the season, yet when it comes to an end of season championship, they are all asked to run one distance - usually, the longest and most difficult.

Let's talk about the brands that are the bedrock of OCR. As the sport has grown over the last 3-4 years, one thing has stood out: there are a few brands that are the biggest and best - the Chili's or Chipotle of the sport; you always know (within reason) what you're going to get when you show up. You're not going to be (too) surprised with the event, as there reputation of quality precedes them.
