About Alexis Haddad

Alexis fell in love with OCR 2014. Prior to this she grew up playing various sports and dancing since the age of two where she competed regionally and nationally. She earned her degree in Political Science/Dance Performance from Roger Williams University in Bristol, RI. When she is not running in the mud she works as a Senior Recruiter for Nutanix. You can usually recognize Alexis at races by her loud mouth, purple hair and a coffee in her hand. She resides in Worcester, Massachusetts.

After an exciting finish between Woods and Atkins, we learned that Ryan Woods was DQ'd for placing his hand on the truss at the A-frame cargo net. Was this an overreaction or an appropriate punishment for a rules violation?

Carter & Stevens farm hosted Savage Race last year and began hosting Spartan races in 2015, they have parking, festival area and clearing of the course down to a science. Op-Ed Spartan Kids World Championships

Last week Spartan announced they would hold a World Championship Race for Kids. The event will be held in Laughlin, NV in November this year. Children between the ages of 10-13 who have placed in the top three at any kids events qualify to compete. So far so good right? Great opportunity for kids to challenge themselves in this sport just like any other sport.

Recently, the Spartan train rolled into Treasury Valley for Boston Sprint Weekend.  It was the second year Spartan hosted it's New England event in Rutland, Ma and the race did not disappoint.

On Sunday, January 28th I had the opportunity to experience Blizzard Blast up in Lowell, MA. For those who are unfamiliar with this event, it has been around for the years put on by SmithFest Events. The company who puts on numerous New England Spahtens #racelocal events.

As we enter into the final weeks of 2017 many of our OCR seasons are coming to an end, if they haven’t already.  This is a great time, as many of us do, to reflect on the goals we set out to accomplished. Did we meet those goals? Did we exceed those goals? Did we come up short and if so why? For me, it’s also about looking forward. I like to set goals for the offseason as well. Where can I improve?
