Tough Mudder 2.0 arrived in SoCal last weekend bringing along Classic Obstacles Revamped, New Obstacles, Camaraderie, Challenges, and Good old fashion OCR fun. Although, fun is an understatement . Tough Mudder is not a race but a challenge an experience like no other.

This is the second year that I have participated at the Rock Solid Mud Run in Englishtown, NJ. It is a race that is literally in my back yard – how can I not attend? Raceway Park in Englishtown is completely flat -- but the obstacles, trail running and swimming will challenge you.
This is my second Rugged Maniac, the last one was in 2012 before Shark Tank. I can say that I enjoyed it the first time, but the second time was even better.
As I was reflecting and perusing photos from this weekend's Reebok Spartan Race World Championships, I couldn't help but visibly notice the lack of standardization in a race where so much was on the line. Spartan Race, I do sincerely love your events and believe you guys put on some of the most difficult and awesome physical sporting events in the entire world... this is a constructive piece of criticism that I've been distilling with my observations over the past few years with the growth of this company and sport.

While you’re pursuing any of these goals, you’re being chased as well; a co-worker is eying that promotion you had your heart set on, that potential soul-mate surely has other suitors, the impending zombie apocalypse, and all the while sand continues to trickle down the bulb of Father Time’s hourglass in the race against our own mortality.
