Building Bridges Mud Run The Canton Lions Club and Waynesville Police Association are excited to announce the inaugural Building Bridges Mud Run on September 13, 2014. The course is approximately 3.5 miles and encompasses creeks, hills, mud and plenty of eye-popping obstacles! 100% of the funds raised with the Building Bridges Mud Run will go to benefit the Lions Club projects both locally and internationally. A portion of the funds will also go to our local Waynesville Police Association.

Course Description:

The Building Bridges Mud Run is Haywood County's first mudtastic mud run! Nestled in the mountains of beautiful Waynesville, NC. This course has been designed to accommodate the advanced, moderate and beginner mud runner. Our objective is quite simple, provide a challenging mudfilled obstacle course for all to enjoy!

Our course is about 3.5 miles long and will involve traversing creeks, hills, multiple mud pits, various obstacles, and a slippery surprise for the finish.

Aid Stations:

We will definitely have aid stations. These stations will be determined upon the completion of the course map.

Awards:

We will have awards for each of the four categories.

Spectators:

Spectators are free to watch and expected to cheer.

Parking:

We would definitely recommend carpooling, however, there will be plenty of parking at the recreation center.

Post Party:

The after party is in the works.

Other:

The Building Bridges Mud Run will be providing proceeds to the Canton Lions Club and Lions Club International. The mission of Canton Lions Club and Lions Club International is to empower volunteers to serve their communities, meet humanitarian needs, encourage peace and promote international understanding through Lions clubs (lionsclubs.org).
