Course Description:
There are 5 obstacles in the 3k course. These are five different water and foam inflatable obstacles. There's also the option to run 2.5k with 3 obstacles.
The inflatable obstacles are Treacherous Tunnels, through which people run and slide on their bellies; Dive to Victory, fences over or through which people take a running leap; Flume of Doom, a bouncing slide covered in foamy water and running down a slope; and Giant Ball Pit, an 8m (26ft) long pit with over 10,000 balls floating in water.
Aid Stations:
Water will be available at the end and also a water station on the course. There will also be food and refreshments on sale and medics and first aid will be on site.
Spectators:
Spectators can roam the course freely. There are some great places to watch and cheer on your family and friends at the park. It would be a good spot to watch near an obstacle. We would also love to have supporters at the start/ finish area to cheer runners off and welcome them over the finish line!
Parking:
There will be parking available. Please navigate to Nowton Park and you will then be directed to the car park once in the grounds.
Post Party:
No post party, there will be food vendors and a bar.
Other:
Charity: There's no official fundraising target for Splash Out! but we ask all of our participants to try and raise a minimum of £15.00 as registration fees just cover the coat of the event. By doing so, you'll help EACH to provide specialist care and support for children with life threatening conditions. Could you be our top fundraiser? You could win a £50 voucher for all your hard work!
Minimum age: All participants must be aged 4 and over on the day of the event. Any participants ages between 4 and 15 must be accompanied on the route by a paying adult.
Event: Splash Out is a fun obstacle course for all the family. The Splash Out course is approximately 5km and involves participants completing five different water and foam inflatable bstacles.(there is the option to run 2.5k with 3 obstacles). It is not a race and is a non-competitive, nontimed event. Participants can walk, jog or run and bypass obstacles if necessary.
Facilities: There will be toilets on site. There will be a bag and key drop located in the registration area. Showers will not be available so come prepared.
Team:
Welcome to race as a team, team discounts available for 6 or more. Tickets for teams of six adults or more are £14 per person.
