Course Description:
Our 5K follows trails, pasture, creek, pond, hills, valleys, and a beautiful view of the Smoky mountains. We have squeezed nearly 30 obstacles into this inner-warrior-provoking 5K run. You will see a few of your favorites like our 16' Rope Climb, Over-Unders, Giant Spool Hurdles, Ladder Walls, Heavy Hoist, Balance Beams and more. And of course we have to create a few unique challenges as well. We call some of these the Terrible Tractor Tires, Sink Hole Scramble, The Angry Teeter Totter, Tree Over Troubled Water, to name a few.
Aid Stations:
We will have aid on the grounds and 3 water stations. At the end of the race, runners will receive fruit, water, granola bar - food will be available for purchase
Spectators:
We encourage spectators. We will have viewing areas and will have food for purchase.

Long View Ranch is a non-profit christian organization that hosts summer camp that provides a fantastic, action packed camp experience to both local and far traveling campers each summer. The Cherokee Challenge is not only a great way to grab your favorite pals and challenge yourself, but you will also help us raise funds so we can offer a week of summer camp to local youth and foster kids who otherwise could not afford to attend. Help send a kid to camp!
All registrations are non refundable, and if registered after March 15, 2020 shirt size not guaranteed.
Team:
When you go through the registration process, you are asked for your TEAM NAME. Please notice that this implies you have to have a team name ready before you register ;-). We will then plug you and your teammates/friends/family into the same starting wave so you can run together (unless your team has more than 5, then we will put you in consecutive waves). There will be an award for the fastest team of 4 or more, so run your fastest! Teams/groups/families will run behind the individual runners to cause less bottlenecks and to give everyone faster times.
