Race for the Reaper for a refund!!
Low budget and unsafe! after doing the Warrior Dash this was very disapointing! We went as a family and I paid for 6 entry fees, one obstacle was shut down for safety as several people were injured because the pool of water to catch them if they fell was only filled with 2 ft of water for a 10ft drop even though there was plenty of room for more water... the slip n slide sent all contestants off the slide into the end of an uncovered 4x4 injuring many... I asked the young girl why they werent fixing it she just said "yeah it came uncovered and people are hitting it" the entire course was staffed with young good intentioned girls with no clue! We were one of the last groups to go through and while doing the race could see them packing up the vendor booths, food and drink... when we finished and went to cash in our drink ticket to get our much deserved beer we were told they ran out two hours ago! whole event was low budget, unsafe and we encourage everyone to stay clear of this one
Race the Reaper - Killer!
The people at the Flying M Ranch put on a spectacular event, Race the Reaper. I have completed the race twice and will definitely make this an annual event. The course changes each year and include 6 miles of running with tons of uphill and downhill and various stream crossings. Many of the obstacles change each year so it is always a great surprise. However, you can see the list of obstacles online prior to the race if you want to specifically train for the events. The finishing slide into the muddy water is great culmination to a great race. Top that with a beer and local pulled pork sandwich and you know you have experienced something special.
