Course Description:
The very challenging 5+ mile course is held on a private ranch that rests at the base of the Little Belt Mountains. The course offers classic Montana beauty with long continuous hill climbs, rocky rugged terrain, open meadow vistas and, of course, 20 to 25, contractor grade, obstacles. Obstacles include but are not limited to: 12' rope climb, mud pits, various wall climbs, sand bag carries, and plenty of suffering.
Aid Stations:
The course will have multiple aid stations, obstacle judges, a medical tent with EMT's, Search and Rescue volunteers patrolling the course, off road and on road ambulances.
Awards:
Competitive individual heats: 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place male and female finishers will be recognized with medals. 1st place will receive $100.00, 2nd place will receive $50.00, and 3rd place will receive $25.00.
Competitive team heat: 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place teams will be recognized with medals. The 1st place team will also be presented with a trophy, a check for $750.00, and each team member with a 1 year membership to the Peak Great Falls.
Spectators:
$5.00 spectator fee. Purchased at the event. Spectators, have designated viewing area along the course
Parking:
Plenty of marked parking located in hay field directly adjacent to US Hwy 89. Carpooling nor shuttles are necessary
Other:
Minimum age is 16
Total participant cap: 300 racers
Team:
Competitive team heats: We are only accepting 12 teams to participate in our competitive team heat. Teams must be coed and have 5 members, the ratio of females to males is up to the team. Teams will navigate the course's 5+miles and 20-25 obstacles while carrying a 75 lb. sandbag, referred to as a ""Pig Egg"". The team that finishes the fastest with their Pig Egg wins.
Non-competitive individual heats: Individuals are welcome to race as a team, just sign up for the same way, but there are no official teams.
