Royal Marines Commando Challenge Once each year civilians are allowed to take on the world famous Royal Marines ENDURANCE training course in aid of charity. Now in its 24th year this event has raised £m's for local and national good causes - and allows civilians to see what the Marines have to do for a day job.

Course Description:

If a laugh and a good time is what you are after in your support of charity, then look no further than the 5K Royal Marines Commando Challenge. You could train and find the courage and take on the 10k, but if its mud and fun then the 5K is for you (and your team mates).
If you’re looking to immerse yourself in the world of the Royal Marines Commandos then this is the course for you as it is the closest in distance to the one undertaken by recruits when training for their coveted green beret.

Aid Stations:

Safety Marshals/Stewards will be on every obstacle & stationed at various other places around the course.

Prizes:

Trophies are awarded for best teams in all male, all female and mixed teams - and teams which raises the most sponsorship

Spectators:

Spectators are very welcome and buses are supplied to take them from the venue to the obstacles.

Parking:

Parking is included in registration

Other:

On site facilities include Parking, Secure Baggage, Changing Marquee & hot showers, Catering, Bar and Merchandise Shop.
The organisers/owners of this event are Devon Air Ambulance and The Royal Marines Charity. Net proceeds from the event will be split equally between these two charities. The only other beneficiary is the Pebblebed Heaths Conservation Trust, which manages and maintains Woodbury Common where the event takes place: £5 from each registration fee will go towards safeguarding this Site of Special Scientific Interest.
