Course Description:

The Maryland State Police (MSP) Fitness Challenge will consists of running a 3 mile course (approximate) while performing body weight exercises and body weight movements on the beautiful beach of Assateague State Park. Body weight exercises include burpees, push-ups, sit-ups, alternating jumping lunges, and jumping jacks. Body weight movements include bear crawls, crab walks, and broad jumps. Participants should expect a challenging workout and finishing wet & sandy!

Aid Stations:

Water stations will be available on site but please ensure that you are well hydrated prior to arrival.

Spectators:

We are looking forward to everyone having a challenging workout. Be sure to bring your friends and family to cheer you on.

Parking:

The will be free parking in Assateague State Park.

Team:

Various units within the Maryland State Police will also be on hand to answer questions for those interested in pursuing a career with the department. Stop by the exhibit area and visit troopers in the K-9 Unit, Aviation Command, the Forensic Sciences Division and many other divisions.
There will be plenty of opportunities to take pictures with the Maryland State Police mascot, troopers and fellow challengers to share on social media, so don't forget your camera!
