Braveheart Race Currently, the Braveheart Challenge is a single obstacle race in Oak Mountain State Park located just outside of Birmingham, AL. This 6-7 mile trail run will challenge your strength and stamina, and you will get dirty too! We encourage athletes to race in teams to help with obstacles but individual runners are more than welcome to join!

Course Description:

The BlackWatch Braveheart Challenge is a 6+ mile trail race through Oak Mountain State Park with over 20 obstacles. This event will challenge your speed, strength, and stamina. The terrain will be challenging in its self with obstacles through out the course, it will definitely be a challenge for most racers.

Aid Stations:

We will have one aid station at the registration tent with ATV to access the course for help.

Awards:

Competitive races will win prizes if they finish in the top three spots (male and female). The winner will get a William Wallace Sword and second place will get a goblet engraved and third undecided.

Spectators:

Spectators are free, but they have to stay at the start/finish line

Parking:

Free parking!

Post Party:

Possibly a post party at a local bar few miles from the race.

Other:

We have a charity that a % of proceeds go to called Hope For Gabe.
Age range is 14-15 can race with a parent, 16 and up can race alone.

Team:

We allow teams to enter and challenge each other and help each other through the obstacles. Team discounts are available.
