Course Description:
This event is hosted by the Gwinnett County Sheriff's Office. This is the ONE day out of the year that we open our training obstacle course to the public. The run is 3 miles of trails and asphalt with some hills and creeks. We have 19 various obstacles including: sand bag carry, rock walls, rope climb, pipe crawl, slide, balance beam, belly crawl, cargo nets, bucket carry, monkey bars, wall climb, rope traverse, optional mud pit and others.
Aid Stations:
Several water stations will be on the course. Paramedics will be on site. Fruit and water at finish line.
Awards:
Trophies for Top Male/Female. Competitive Division age group awards in 5 year increments male/female. Team Competition trophies and medals awarded top 3 teams in each division. Male - Female - Co-Ed - Public Safety.
Prizes:
Prizes are given out for capturing escaped inmates along the route.
Spectators:
Spectators are free, there is an open area around the obstacle course for spectator viewing, after party area is free.
Parking:
Free parking for everyone, plenty of parking.
Post Party:
D.J. playing music and announcements during the event. Tent vendors on site.
Other:
All proceeds from this event go to our teen mentoring programs at the Sheriff's Office. The minimum age to run is 14. This event is chip timed for the competitive segments. We have free Gear Check and wash off area with changing tents available.
Team:
The Team Competition consists of 4 person teams. All members must cross the finish line together! No man/woman left behind. Work together to conquer the obstacles and push each other through the course. Team Trophies are awarded to the top three finishers of Male Teams, Female Teams, Co-Ed Teams and Public Safety Teams. Discounts are available to military and public safety teams.
