Course Description:
Runners can choose to take on the course, which includes challenging obstacles such as water wipeout, hay bay hurdle and gladiator gauntlet, on either date or they can push themselves to the limit with the Turbo Stampede – entry onto both days. The course is designed by the Queens Own Yeomanry Squadron and with a number of new obstacles are set to make an appearance this year. Stampede will push you to the limit….are YOU tough enough?
Mini Stampede is back for the third year after huge success in 2015 & 2016. The course will include plenty of fun and challenging obstacles including Smartie Tubes, Jack and Jill’s Hill, The Slip ‘n’ Slide and the Creepy Crawler and plenty of mud!
Aid Stations:
A 4 x 4 first aid vehicle and trained crew will be provided for the event. If you need assistance, please make this known to a steward who will be able to get you help as soon as possible.
Spectators:
We encourage you to bring along spectators to cheer you on, we have spectator viewing available at the start and finish lines. The disabled viewing area is located to the left hand side of the finish line on the tarmac area.
Parking:
Parking is free and available on site – please follow the directional signage and car parkers to the correct area.
Post Party:
There are plenty of food and drink outlets inside available all serving delicious local food and drink! Book a table at The Border Minstrel Pub which is located onsite 0191 2362002, serving Sunday Roast’s – perfect after a 10K run!
Other:
We have a cloakroom facility available on the day for any valuables such as phones, keys etc or they can be left with your spectators. We recommend you bring only necessary items with you on the day.
