Shale Hill Adventure Shale Hill Adventure Farm offers a unique training experience that utilizes both natural and man made obstacles to help build stamina and endurance that is unmatched with other training techniques. We focus on building a solid core that will enable you to increase your performance level for a longer period of time. We will make you mentally and physically strong enough to reach goals that you never thought were possible. We train everyday, rain or shine. We are not a fair weather group, but we do offer an indoor gym for those days that you just want to pump some iron or work out on our heavy bags.

Course Description:

4 Days of OCR and Adventure Racing at Shale Hill in Benson, Vermont. 13 total races with 9 opportunities to qualify for OCRWC and US OCR Championships in 2018! Camping included in overnight races, Cash Payouts offered in PRO divisions. Kids races offered from ages 4-12. Food vendors, camping and retailers on-site! You don't want to miss this one... sign up early for the best discounting options!

Shale Hill Adventure will have the following at this event:
Kids OCR Course with approx. 10 - 20 obstacles
1 Mile OCR Sprint course with 26 low/fast obstacles
5K OCR course with 35 obstacles & challenges
10K OCR course with 70+ obstacles & challenges
Shale Hill is situated on 140 rolling countryside with short steep hills, rocky descents, open fields and wooded trails. Obstacles are abundant and vary greatly with rope climbs, ramps, walls, tire drags, crawls, log carries, monkey bars, balance challenges, tarzan swings and a warped wall.

Aid Stations:

4 water stations on course and medic available through duration of the event. Fruit and water at the finish line.

Awards:

Awards presented at the conclusion of each race. Closing ceremonies at 3pm on Sunday, August 13, 2017.

Prizes:

Gold, Silver & Bronze medals for top 3 in all divisions. Cash payouts 1, 2, 3 in PRO divisions only.

Spectators:

$35 per day - Spectators (all ages). Limited to festival, Kids Races and camping areas only.

Parking:

Carpooling is required, please limit individual cars attending event. Parking is a short walk to venue in an open field. No shuttles.

Other:

We also have showers to rinse of the mud and changing tents to get out of the wet clothes and into some dry ones. We recommend bringing a change of clothes, shoes, towel and a plastic bag for your wet clothes.We also have a shoe donation for a good cause.
The best part of this fun event is a portion of the proceeds benefit OPERATION HOMEFRONT our charity partner!

Team:

Teams/clubs are encouraged to attend as a group. Special designated areas for your team tent/set up will be available in the festival circle.
