Course Description:
A 7 mile obstacle course full of mud, water, and man made obstacles to give you the ultimate challenge. It will be held at a motocross raceway so you will encounter a lot of hills and a lot of mud. There will be roughly 15-20 obstacles participants will have to encounter. We want to keep some of our obstacles a surprise but the main obstacles we plan to have are monkey bars, slotted and inclined walls, crawling through tubes, running through tires, crawling through water and mud, and so on.
Aid Stations:
There will be 2 water & aid stations on the course. Volunteers will be stationed at each obstacle in contact with standby paramedics. There will be first aid stations in the festival area.
Prizes:
Currently planning prizes for best costume and best group costume
Spectators:
Spectating costs $20. Spectators will be able to view a majority of the course, with two large, obstacle rich sections on either side of the festival area and access to some of the more remote course sections as well. the $20 entry entitles spectators to the festival area, with vendors, the live music party and multiple free activities.
Parking:
Parking costs $10. Carpooling is encouraged and cars of 4 or more people will be able to park for free. Should attendance require extra parking, offsite options will be available with shuttling.
Post Party:
Post party with live music and entertainment, food and drink vendors, free individual and team activities including tug of war, sand volleyball, tire toss.
Other:
A portion of proceeds will benefit Akron Children's Hospital of the Mahoning Valley.
The minimum age is 12. 12-14 year olds who wish to run the full course should do so with a parent/guardian. There will also be a course split that skips the wooded section of the course and keeps the younger runners in full view of security and spectators the entire time that they can chose to run individually.
Team:
Anyone can specify a team when they register and teams do not have to register at once. There is no team limit.
