Course Description:
The Kids Obstacle Challenge is an adventure course specifically designed for kids. The 2016 Seattle event will be held at Lake Sammamish State Park, just outside Seattle, Washington. The course at Lake Sammamish State Park s is 1.1 miles. It is relatively flat but part of the course crosses a sandy beach. Participants will encounter 10-15 obstacles, including hurdles, cargo-net climb, tire fast-feet, web crawl-through, a-frame crawl-over, giant slip-n-slide, balance beam, rope swing, mud crawl, and weight-carry.
Aid Stations:
There will be a first-aid tent and an EMT on site. There will be water at the finish line.

Everyone is a winner at Kids Obstacle Challenge!
Spectators:
There is no fee for spectators!
Parking:
A Discover Pass is required for vehicle access to state parks and recreation lands managed by the Washington State Parks. Lake Sammamish State Park will require vehicles to have a pass.
Post Party:
There is a vendor area near the finish line. Music will be broadcast during the entire event.
There will also be event merchandise and vendors onsite selling some tasty treats, so we recommend packing some cash too!
Other:
We would love for you to run our obstacle challenge as many times as you want! After your scheduled wave, you can pay a $5.00 re-run fee and join in as many additional waves as you’d like!
Please bring your printed and signed waiver of liability, a change of clothes, and a smile!
Yes! We will have a professional photographer onsite to capture many highlights of the day’s events. We can not guarantee that every child will have their photo taken. We post our photos in the gallery and on our facebook page.
There will be shower stations onsite, so don’t forget your towel and a fresh change of clothes!
In true PNW fashion, this race will run regardless of the weather. More rain simply means more mud! However, in the case of extreme weather events, the race may be cancelled, postponed, or rescheduled, especially if the obstacles become unsafe for runners.
Registration is non-refundable for any reason, regardless of circumstance, including but not limited to injury, a scheduling conflict, or event cancellation. However, active duty or deployed military participants may be entitled to a refund on a case-by-case basis upon providing sufficient, official documentation regarding the deployment that conflicts with participating in the event.
Team:
The event does not involve teams, but parents run for free!
