Course Description:
If you thought there were no hills in the Netherlands, you were wrong! At the 19-kilometer trail there are 600 altimeters. This obstacle run takes place at the well-known Spaarnwoude area, near Amsterdam and you can choose between the 7-kilometer trail, the 13-kilometer trail or the 19-kilometer trail. The Iron Viking will also take place during the Hills Edition 2016: 42 km with 100+ obstacles and 2600 altimeters. Strong Viking is choosen as the best Obstacle & Mud run from Holland!
Aid Stations:
Every 5km there will be a refreshment station with water, a banana and Snelle Jelle. There will also be a Red Bull Energypoint where you can get a Red Bull Regular mixed with water what provides you with extra energy to complete the course.
Prizes:
At the Strong Viking Run we are giving away a prize for the best dressed individual Viking and group! How can you participate in this competition? Upload a picture of yourself, or your group, in your costume at the finish line on our facebook page and the winner(s) will be chosen the day after the run!
Spectators:
Free! Of course you can watch the run! We are happy to welcome you and your friends! And it’s all free, the entire track and the homage after the run.
Other:
Participation in the 7km track is possible from ages 14 and up, and the 13- & 19km track from ages 16 and up.
After the strong Viking it is possible to wash yourself. We have four points where you can do that. However, we don’t have shower cabins.
Every participant gets a wristband that can be used for the guarded cloakroom. Volunteers will explain the system to you at the run.
We have separate dressing rooms for men and women.
Every obstacle has a walk by. It’s your own challenge so nothing is required!
We have a clock at the start and finish of every Strong Viking Obstacle Run so you can measure your own time. However we don’t have a time registration. The Strong Viking is about your own challenge and helping other Vikings completing the run, its about making it to the finish, time doesn’t matter.
