Chasing Squirrels The Race MT "trail series" was put together 4 years ago.
Since the series inception we have had fun keeping you guessing.
Every year we change, alter or adjust the courses to keep you challenged.
These courses are scenic, technical and versatile, with fantastic views!
Big change for this year is there will be no point chasing, just having fun! There are still awesome, cool and unique prizes.

Course Description:

Lewis & Clark Overlook Distance 4.43 miles.
This course is pure Mayhem and Chaos, with plenty of climbs, drops and corners to keep you guessing.
The rest of the weekend will feature a mountain bike race, “The Missouri River Rampage” featuring some of the same trails as the relay, not to mention an Expo.

Aid Stations:

Aid stations are located at the start and finish only.

Awards:

There is a unique handcrafted award for the Overall solo runner male and female, as well as 2 person and 4 person male, female or mixed teams.

Spectators:

Spectators are welcome at the start and finish plus their are additional viewing areas on portions of the trail with seating available.
Spectators are encourage to sign up for volunteers and get the best positions for enjoying the event.

Parking:

Parking is limited at the trail head so carpooling is encouraged.

Other:

Race MT donates a portion of the event proceeds to help improve, add onto and support our local trail systems. We have even donated to the local pools.
At the end of each year the board meets to decide where our contribution can best assist our community in encouraging healthy lifestyles and enjoying the outdoors.
