Course Description:
Ultimutt Race is an obstacle course race designed for a dog+owner team to conquer together. The course will feature rolling hills, sparkling ponds, rippling brooks, and of course, lots of muddy spots, uphill climbs, and downhill slides!
All obstacles have been designed and tested by dog agility professionals to ensure proper function for dog and human teams to complete.
NEVER force a dog to complete an obstacle. This race is about strengthening you and your dog’s bond of trust and teamwork. To succeed, you must both consent to work together. If your dog doesn’t want to complete an obstacle and you’re running for fun, you may simply skip the obstacle. However, if you are running in a competitive category, step to the side in the designated area and you must complete 30 squats before moving on.
Aid Stations:
We will have an EMT/First Aid station with Banfield Veterinary Technician station as well.
We will have a Safety Director will a vehicle to deliver aid an ensure safety across the course area.
Stationed at each obstacle will be volunteer Obstacle Monitors to ensure safety.
Prizes:
The winner is crowned the coveted title of UltiMutt Champion, an exclusive UltiMutt Champion T-shirt, and other awesome prizes donated by our sponsors.
Spectators:
Spectators are allowed to cheer participants without charge.
Parking:
Free and plenty of parking
Post Party:
We will have a Vendor Village with treats, water, snacks, and the best local doggie goods for sale. We will have ice cooling pools for dogs and plenty of water for everyone!
Other:
We believe every dog and owner deserves an active lifestyle and unbreakable bond. That’s why a portion of every registration fee and 100% of all donations raised will be gifted to a partnering animal shelter in each community we host a race.
If your dog has never been around unfamiliar dogs, you can’t be certain how he will react and it is best not to risk making him uncomfortable or causing an issue for other racers. For information on socializing your dog or determining whether your dog is comfortable around other dogs, please consult your veterinarian.
Kids Race:
Participants must be at least 13 + years old on race day and any children aged 12 and under must be accompanied by an adult.
