Marine Mud Run The Marine Mud Run is an event for runners of all ages, genders, and physical abilities.
Its primary purpose is to raise funds for Toys by sponsoring an annual Marine-style mud run.
Runners pay a fee to run a course with Marine style obstacles and a distance of approximately three miles (five kilometers).
The course traverses various surfaces including dirt roads, fields, ponds and mud trails.
Numerous obstacles are incorporated into the course, with highlights including walls, trenches and mud pits.
Individual runners or teams consisting of four runners start the race.
The first individual runner or first four-member team to cross the finish line together will establish the order of finish. The first place runner or team for each category will receive a plaque.

Students age 8-18 years old and all College/University students must provide ID at event check-in! Students 8-18 years of age are not eligible to run in Elite Heats. Children 4-7 years old may only run in the family heat and must be accompanied by an adult on the course at all time.

Course Description:

The Marin Mud Run features a course with Marine style obstacles, a distance of approximately three miles (five kilometers). The course traverses various surfaces including dirt roads, fields, ponds and mud trails. Numerous obstacles are incorporated into the course, with highlights including walls, trenches and mud pits.

Aid Stations:

We will have an Aid Station at the Start/Finish line, with ambulance, and paramedics on standby on the course.
Fruit & water will be provided, free

Prizes:

The first place runner or team for each category will receive a plaque.

Spectators:

Spectators are free and can roam the course, as long as they do not interfere or impede any runners.

Parking:

Parking is free, on site, and we'll have our trusty V.E.S.T volunteers directing traffic.

Other:

Proceeds are dedicated to helping the many needy children in our community who go without Christmas

Team:

Participants are encouraged to form groups to run the course. It is recommended group members to run in the same heat, but is not required.

Kids Race:

Kids ages 8 and above can register of the Students 8+ race and should provide Student ID at check-in.
Family Heat (Heat 4) is the only heat children 4-7 may sign up for. An adult must accompany the children for the duration of the event, however, they are not required to register.
