Feeling down that your race calendar is slowly falling apart between postponements and cancellations? Are you looking for a way to stay motivated, keep working towards your goals, and feel connected to the race community while at home? Savage Race recently debuted their Savage Anywhere program where you can complete a series of workouts at home and still earn your 2020 race shirt and medal. The program is designed for you to complete 14 workouts during a 4-week period. 7 of the workouts include running and 7 do not. The program does not require access to a gym. Ideally, you will have access to a few basic pieces of workout equipment: a dumbbell (or something heavy), a jump rope, a ruck/backpack, and a pull-up bar. If you don’t have these pieces of equipment, a full bodyweight program is also offered.

Savage provides 2 levels of workouts with their Race and Blitz options. Each program is designed to be difficult, and the main difference is the Race option has more distance and running challenges. Workouts are spread out, so you average 3.5 workouts per week and are released weekly. Record your workouts and share your results as part of the Savage Anywhere Facebook group and stay connected with the OCR community. Here is a sample of the first workout released by Savage:

The workouts come with advice from trainers, video links to exercises you may not know how to do, and adaptations for exercises so that you can use only body weight.
