On Tuesday, Peloton announced that it was going to offer 90 days of their online classes from their Peloton app for free to help people who are continuing on their fitness journey from home.
Peloton is best known for its at-home spin bikes and classes. The digital app allows users to stream cycling and treadmill classes as well as strength, meditation, yoga, and stretching classes that do not require any equipment. Classes are available both live and on-demand formats. The strength workouts have options for bodyweight only or with weights. The live classes will be hosted from their studio in New York without their usual audience.
For those of you who can still get outside, Peloton offers outdoor audio-only classes for walkers and runners with variations on intervals. Personally, I have been doing these audio-only classes since my gym has closed these have been great classes to push me out the door and focus.
You can check out more at the official website Peloton website.
Also, if you want recommendations for classes, check out Pelobuddy's workout guide to learn more about some of class series that are available. If you are craving some human interaction during isolation, you can join a Peloton Tribe. Many of the tribes even schedule workout times so their members can exercise together and give each other digital high fives.
