As we roll into Labor Day weekend in the United States, kids are going back to school, nights are getting colder, and the 2018 obstacle racing season is inching closer and closer to World Championship season. This week we feature two athletes one who knows a helping hand during a race is a good thing and the other reminds us sometimes you just have to keep going.
Each week Bonnie Wilson our social media guru picks two community members to highlight. This week she picked Kristy DeVincentis (mightykristy) and Tony Krugel (krugz22). Kristy DeVincentis writes about getting a helping hand from her husband at a recent race:
“When a picture say #1000words Thank you @ocrnation for grabbing this photo! That’s my son and husband reaching out to finish up our #teamrace @noramchamps #teamwerfamilyIt was an amazing experience to watch my son at #16yearsold compete with integrity at such a huge race venue!”
Tony Krugel writes about the hard times that can be faced on and off the course. He says: “Life’s really pretty simple. Do more of the things you love, more of the time. One catch tho… You’re gonna have to sift thru a whole bunch of sh*t before you find the shinola. So roll up them sleeves and grab yourself a shovel homie”
